Fraud Policy
The OverSoul Support Team will not be responsible for any loss of mint or items due to scams (except for 1st incident)
and unfair trades that are not a result of an in-game bug, rollback, or exploit.
It is the responsibility of the player to protect his or her own possessions and evaluate what transactions to make or not make with other players. Please be reminded of the following:
- Double-check the items in the trade window before you agree to the trade. Make sure you know exactly what you are trading for, with whom, and what you are trading with.
- Always channel any transactions through the trade window. Do not accept deferred trades (ex. Character A promises to give Item X to Player B in exchange for Item Y, but Character A insists on getting Item Y now and will just give him item X at a later time).
- Always ensure to have more than enough room in the character inventory for all the items that will be received in the trade.
- Players are only permitted a One-time restoration of the hacked / scammed character's Premium Items and maximum of 1M mint.
- All forms of trade involving PHP or OverSoul load for in-game items or mint will be at your own risk. The OverSoul Support Team will not return the load nor the items.
- Players who will file a scamming report are required to provide a screenshot of their conversation and the subsequent trade.
The following are common examples of fraud activities in gaming communities. By knowing about some of these dangers, you will have no problems in this game.
- A player with familiar game ID begging to borrow gold and/or items.
This is by far the most common fraud activity. Items may not be returned to their original owner. From time to time, you will see a player using shout or whisper chat to beg a Sect member, friends, and so on if someone would be kind to lend them mint and items. When a request to lend an item is received, the player must make sure of the identity of the character before responding.
In many cases, unscrupulous players create similar names and characters known to the potential fraud victim in order to confuse them.
Example: JohnDoe, JohnDoes, JohnDoe2, etc.
- Typical Trade Scam
DO NOT press the "OK" button unless you are 100 percent sure that you are ready to give the money or items. Also make sure to verify each item that it is the item you truly want before you press the "OK" button. A player may try to sell you something that you wish to buy at a discount or vice versa. Fraud perpetrators offer an item at a price much lower than market value. They upload an authentic item to the trading window, and then suddenly cancel the transaction. They will do this several times, changing the conditions of the deal, then "cancel" the transaction again for one reason or another. Fraud perpetrators do this to make the potential fraud victim impatient to conclude the transaction. At the last moment the perpetrators deliberately load the incorrect item. In case of money, you need to count all the digits to verify its correctness.
- Offers of weapon/armor upgrade without failure.
The success and failure rates of the game are pre-programmed into the system by its developer. Nobody within the game has the means to upgrade an item without failure. Only +9 base weapons and armors can be upgraded without failure.
